All K-drama lovers agree that the best dramas were released in 2016. I will share with you my favorites and the most iconic ones.

Stars: Lee Jong-Suk, Han Hyo-Joo, Jeong Eu-Gene, Kim Eui-sung
Plot: A love story between a couple in their early thirties. They belong to the same era but alternate realities.
Known as one of the best fantasy dramas this year due to the pairing and storyline

Legend of the Blue Sea (Comedy, Fantasy, Drama)
Stars: Jun Ji-Hyun, Lee Min-Ho, Lee Hee-Joon, Won Ho Shin
Plot: A mermaid from the Joseon period ends up in present-day Seoul, where she crosses paths with a swindler who may have ties to someone from her past.
It was a highly anticipated drama due to the main leads Lee Min-ho and Jun Ji-hyun. It is known for the comedy and interesting storyline.
Cinderella & the Four Knights (Comedy-Romance)
Stars: Il-Woo Jung, Ahn Jae-Hyun, Park So-dam, Jung Shin Lee
Plot: A young girl who lives with her cruel stepmother and sisters, accidentally meets 3 young and rich cousins who live a luxurious life in a big mansion and is hired by the boys' grandpa to look after their bad behavior.
Entertainer (Comedy-Drama-Romance-Idols)
Stars: Hyeri Lee, Seong Ji, Ahn Nae-sang, Man-sik Jeong
Plot: Shin Suk Ho (Ji Sung) was once a hotshot director at South Korea's biggest entertainment company, but as the CEO of a small agency, he discovers there's more to the business than glamour. Forced to wear different hats, Suk Ho juggles everything from talent recruitment to managing fledgling trainees to eventually find his true calling as a band manager.
Uncontrollably Fond (Drama-Romance-Idols)
Stars: Kim Woo-bin, Bae Suzy, Ju-hwan Lim, Lim Ju-Eun
Plot: The memory of their painful breakup is still fresh in their minds. Two former lovers reunite years later an Idol/actor and a documentary producer.
The K2 (Drama-Romance-Thriller)
Stars: Ji Chang-Wook, Song Yun-ah, Im Yoon-ah, Jo Sung-ha
Plot: A highly trained special ops agent goes off the grid after being framed for murder, and is hired as a bodyguard when the powerful and influential father of a troubled girl sees his skills.
Weightlifting Fairy Kim-Bok-Joo (Comedy-Romance)
Stars: Lee Song-Kyoung, Nam Joo-hyuk, Jae-yoon Lee, Hye-Jung Cho
Plot: A coming-of-age story about a group of college athletes who are fighting for their dreams, experiencing and finding love in the process, and growing every step of the way.
Bring it on, Ghost (Comedy-Fantasy-Horror)
Stars: Taecyeon, Kim So-hyun, Lee Da-wit, Kang Ki-young
Plot: A cohabitation comedy about a ghost of a high school girl who has been dead for 5 years and an exorcist college boy with the ability to see and hear ghosts.
Descendants of the Sun (Action-Comedy-Drama)
Stars: Song Joong-ki, Song Hye-Kyo, Jin Goo, Kim Ji-Won
Plot: This drama tells of the love story that develops between a surgeon and a special forces officer.
