Parenting: know the limits

I promise you this article is not as sad as this photo,
but I had to talk about this first,
and show you how unfair this is...

I read the title and had to read the article to understand why a girl was sitting there crying between the ashes. The story brought me to tears and broke my heart.
A video of the girl crying after her parents burned all of her precious K-pop merchandise went viral,
evoking sympathy from k-pop fans and supportive parents everywhere.

Do you know something? I was fortunate to have supportive parents, who never questioned my choices. They guided me and even let me do mistakes and learn from them.
That's how it should be and I am not here to tell anyone how to raise their children but what I saw in the picture above is unacceptable.
They should have talked to their daughter to understand her.
Anyway, I am not a parent, but a super amazing mama of a k-pop fan will tell you her journey with her daughter, and her opinion on parenting! How cool it is to have a mama like her!
Lily & Jessy ๐Ÿ˜ป

Lily's point of view:

I will start by saying that I'm a mom of a ten years old girl. She's bright, a k-pop fan army to be more specific, and full of talents. But knows too little about the world. It's my job as a mother to guide her and enlighten her on things, along with her dad in teamwork parenting. She loves the songs and dances along but still early to hang around with guys' pics on her bag. So, when she reaches the right age, I will step by step help her with that without depriving her of the things she likes. I have the responsibility over her but that doesn't mean I have the right to kill her personality and smash her tastes if I dislike them. She can have her own choices as long as there's no harm done.

You know that supervision is not the same as stalking right?! Funny that parents are spending so much time on their phones but can't check what their kids are watching or playing... suddenly, oops! You didn't know their grades were low right?

And now you want to blame the music they listen to or the time they spend on their phones... hum, I see. Where were you to avoid that? We both know the answer. I came across the recent news of a sad teenage girl looking at her k-pop merchandise burned by her father who blamed her low grades on her music. That's so wrong at so many levels, and I would say to this father or any parent that chooses this way, don't be surprised if tomorrow you can't communicate with your child and your relationship is just broken. Back to the topic of why this is wrong? Simple! She needed guidance and maybe a little help with her studies. Go check what is happening to her. Do you want her to focus more? Remove the distraction temporarily and make her work more efficiently to achieve her goal at school, and then reward her with her stuff back. Is it that hard? No, but it takes time and some dedication... but wait! You decided to become a parent but had no idea what it is like? What you thought? Flowers and rainbows? Parenting is the hardest thing in this life!

But hey, if you manage well, that small hug and kiss at the end of the day is the best thing in life. Hug your child more and be there more. Many hazards will be avoided it. Love your child! Is a command ;)

And this is Celine on her birthday another K-pop stan (ARMY) she loves BTS and all 7 of them equally. So her parents decided to make her Birthday theme BTS.
I know Celine's parents personally and I know how much they care about their daughter and her studies and they support her passion for K-pop.

๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ
Celine didn't compromise her studies for the love of K-POP and I'm sure Jessy will do the same.
They study well and they have balance! Just because their parents listen to them, support them and are raising them in a loving family.

School Korean Drama

"School" (South Korean anthology) This anthology has 8 seasons. From 1999 to 2002 (4 seasons) then after 10 years they rebooted with a new season in 2012 then  3 other series came after. ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ“š This anthology shed a light on serious problems that occur in schools, like corrupt education, teen suicide, physical, mental abuse as well as bullying.  It is unacceptable that even these days are still happening without finding any solution. Certain events that happened and caused traumas for kids, should have been avoided if the system was more careful, if had more humanity, and if they started looking at the kids as human beings not just robots at school to get good grades and only get evaluated by this. You will learn a thing or two from these K-dramas. They are tough and sometimes you'll feel how cruel the world has been for them at times, let alone feel related because we all had been through something similar in one way or another.  Even the bullies are like this for a reas...

Kiss Goblin K-drama

Talking about the most underrated K-drama I have ever seen.    I still don't understand why he wants to be human... ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜†  A 160-year-old goblin knew that in order to become human he needed to kiss 10 girls. The love story is very interesting.  He met a girl who is sick of people, who suffered from a horrible breakup and keeps saying that she hates people.  And look at her falling for a 160-year-old goblin... She works in a cafe and to add to the miserable things that happened to her, the customers were all rude and disrespectful. If you like supernatural, fantasy K-dramas this one is for you. The only thing I hold against it is that it has only 12 episodes, 12 minutes each.  Couldn't they make it a little bit longer? ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ " You're my last kiss. If we kiss, we will forget our love together. " We settled this from previous articles, Bae In hyuk is one of my fave talented actors and they need to give him more dramas. I kept nagging until he finally got...

"IMITATION" K-drama

Another K-drama about K-pop idols? Nope! It's a unique and underrated one. Every now and then I go back and re-watch K-dramas that really touched my heart. I also have some comfort dramas that I go back to every time I want to watch stress-free dramas. This one though is far from stress-free but it always touched my heart. "Imitation" is based on a webtoon They say fictional characters don't exist in real life... LOL OKAI! โ€œImitationโ€ is about the world of K-pop and the intense pressure and completion that comes with it. All the actors and actresses fascinated me, especially since this K-drama showed the talent of Ateez, SF9, U-Kiss, and Park Yuri K-pop members. I have mixed emotions between liking the actress and being mad at her for being so cold and inconsiderate toward my beloved idol Lee Jun. I also felt sometimes off because there was no chemistry then suddenly I feel the fluffy love. The love story and all the side stories were amazing though. The cinematograp...
