A Korean Odyssey - K-Drama Review

He burned a whole world to save her

Oh! Wait! I should start by saying something else, already spoiling. Although everyone knows I love spoilers.
Okai! So that was the most iconic scene in "A Korean Odyssey"
It made me scream, literally scream,
"I WANT TO BE LOVED LIKE THIS!"
Not burning the world for me but you know...

Lily's Review

This K-drama is a pure rollercoaster! I want to spoil it for you...it has a happy ending :)

Many people watched it and reviewed it as a sad drama. For me, it was a comedy, fantasy, romance, and action. I love to watch fantasy although Cosette Awad is such a good Korean influencer and I'm basically turning my attention to all k-dramas with a happy ending! I'm even in love with the culture and learning a few words. (Thank you Cosy). So, if you think you will be bored, forget it. You might laugh, cry, feel angry or bite your nails at the same time, just like when you are reading one of Cosette's books. For some reason, people tell her that her novels are pure k-dramas. Oh my, I keep getting out of the subject...anyway, Lee Seung-gi is an iconic actor and didn't disappoint me with his performance. His character Son Ogong will make you hate him and love him. Oh, Yeon-Seo is the sweet, funny, and brave Jin Sun-mi and she's a big example of resilience. I hope you give a try and watch it, is totally worth it.

ONLY A KOREAN ODYSSEY FAN WILL UNDERSTAND THIS

Aside from the two main leads
and Lee Seung-gi who stole my heart,
the rest of the cast was just as amazing and I couldn't pick a favorite, even though
Lee Heung-gi who played the role of P.K.
is one of my favorite idols, he played an idol in a K-drama called "You are beautiful" which I will review one day.
Oh, and I will share a song for him that I love so much!
His vocals are no joke!

You need to watch to see why I am using all those animals' emojis,
sometimes I like to tease instead of spoil

This scene melted my heart

He's just lkbdsjbhjvbsabvc๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ

If he doesn't look at me the way Son Ogong looks at Yeon-Seo
he ain't the one!

For those who watched it and said it had a sad ending
his smile, while he was driving to get his girl should have told you otherwise.
For someone like me who wants a ring and a wedding dress to believe it's a happy ending,
this time his smile was the most satisfying, ultimate happy ending!

School Korean Drama

"School" (South Korean anthology) This anthology has 8 seasons. From 1999 to 2002 (4 seasons) then after 10 years they rebooted with a new season in 2012 then  3 other series came after. ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ“š This anthology shed a light on serious problems that occur in schools, like corrupt education, teen suicide, physical, mental abuse as well as bullying.  It is unacceptable that even these days are still happening without finding any solution. Certain events that happened and caused traumas for kids, should have been avoided if the system was more careful, if had more humanity, and if they started looking at the kids as human beings not just robots at school to get good grades and only get evaluated by this. You will learn a thing or two from these K-dramas. They are tough and sometimes you'll feel how cruel the world has been for them at times, let alone feel related because we all had been through something similar in one way or another.  Even the bullies are like this for a reas...

Rest in peace my MoonBin

April, you broke my heart... I never thought I will come back to my blog after that long break to write about losing my Moon๐Ÿ’” I will miss you, my angel. You kept comforting us with your words, but I wish you listened to them, my baby idol, my heart. Forgive us ๐Ÿ˜ฅ we failed to protect you๐Ÿ’” Will K-pop stop being a happy place? Will K-pop keep breaking our hearts? All I think about now is how to help spread awareness since I am a writer and all I have is my words. K-pop industry, PLEASE PRIORITIZE OUR IDOLS MENTAL HEALTH. They are our safe haven, they save us and the guilt we are experiencing now is no joke! Because we can't protect our idols, and apparently our love for them is not enough, not that I am complaining, NO, but they need people close to them supporting them not making them feel as if they are machines for making money only, our idols are humans and deserve to be loved.  ๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ’” We keep loving and supporting and protecting them as much as we can, words are powerful...

"IMITATION" K-drama

Another K-drama about K-pop idols? Nope! It's a unique and underrated one. Every now and then I go back and re-watch K-dramas that really touched my heart. I also have some comfort dramas that I go back to every time I want to watch stress-free dramas. This one though is far from stress-free but it always touched my heart. "Imitation" is based on a webtoon They say fictional characters don't exist in real life... LOL OKAI! “Imitation” is about the world of K-pop and the intense pressure and completion that comes with it. All the actors and actresses fascinated me, especially since this K-drama showed the talent of Ateez, SF9, U-Kiss, and Park Yuri K-pop members. I have mixed emotions between liking the actress and being mad at her for being so cold and inconsiderate toward my beloved idol Lee Jun. I also felt sometimes off because there was no chemistry then suddenly I feel the fluffy love. The love story and all the side stories were amazing though. The cinematograp...
